1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing our platform, or using any of our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them along with our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Services
MedTalks provides an AI-powered spoken medical English practice platform for healthcare professionals. Our services include:
- Conversational AI practice sessions with specialised agents (Dr Chatty, Dr Prono, Dr Roley, Dr Meddy, Dr Emergency)
- Pronunciation and fluency assessment reports
- CEFR-level proficiency tracking and analytics
- Access to structured medical English courses
3. Account Registration & Security
To use MedTalks you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at info@medtalks.app
We reserve the right to terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. AI Minutes & Usage
Access to AI practice sessions is measured in minutes. Minutes are:
- Deducted in real-time based on session duration
- Non-transferable between accounts
- Subject to the plan purchased at the time of transaction
Trial Minutes: New accounts receive a limited number of free trial minutes to explore the platform. Trial minutes do not carry over and cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MedTalks to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or reproduce our AI agents or platform
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
- Share your account credentials with others
- Upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content during sessions
- Interfere with the platform's security or infrastructure
6. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, software, AI agents, and materials on MedTalks are the exclusive property of MedTalks and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform solely for personal educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent.
7. Conversation Data & Reports
Conversation transcripts and generated reports are stored to provide you with your learning history and analytics. By using the platform you grant MedTalks a limited licence to process your conversation data solely for the purpose of generating reports and improving our AI. We do not sell your conversation data to third parties. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
MedTalks is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy and availability, we do not warrant that:
- The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
- AI-generated feedback constitutes professional medical or language certification
- Results will match any specific learning outcome
Our AI assessments are educational tools and should not be used as a substitute for professionally accredited examinations or certifications (e.g. OET, IELTS).
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MedTalks and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to MedTalks at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Unused minutes are non-refundable except as outlined in our Refund Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Türkiye.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Your continued use of MedTalks after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
